“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”. Hebrews 11:1, ESV
It comes a time in everyone’s life when you must accept the calling GOD placed on your life. Unfortunately, oftentimes what you are called to do, does not pay the bills, so you ignore it. Many jobs provide the financial security we have become accustomed to, but this security does not necessarily make us happy. I have learned from experience, that if you are not doing what you have been called to do, you will never be satisfied. You may be content. You may even be comfortable, but you will never feel complete.
At some point this will no longer be enough. You will accept your calling and place this above everything else, even if it means stepping out of your comfort zone. You will no longer take comfort in being unhappy simply because you have bills to pay.
This is not to say that you should jump up and quit your job with no way to pay your bills. Not at all! What I am saying, however, is when you get to that point, you will no longer suppress what GOD called you to do. You will begin making changes in your life that may not feel comfortable at first. You may begin taking risks you never took before. What satisfied you before will no longer be satisfying. What made sense to you, will no longer make sense. Your priorities will change. Your focus will become sharp. Your direction will become clearer. You will come to realize that your calling is not just something you do; your calling is who you are!
And when you are ready, you will embrace who called GOD you to be. You will embrace who you were meant to be. And you will do so without reservation.
It may be scary at first, but if you trust in GOD, trust in what HE is doing, trust in where HE is taking you – you will wonder why it took you this long to get to this place.
Although you cannot see it, know that GOD can, and HE will guide you. Accept your calling and walk the path you were meant to walk!
God bless you,
In his service
