Be Careful What You Ask For!

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7

One thing I have learned is GOD will answer the prayers of HIS children. All we must do is ask whatever we wish, and it will be done for you. However, I have also learned, the way GOD answers our prayers is not always the way we want them answered. Often, we do not understand HIS answers.

A perfect example of this is asking GOD to move us into better situations, such as a job, home, financial situation, etc. Sometimes for HIM to do this, HE must take other things away from us first. Consequently, this is the part many of us struggle with.

When I gave my life to Christ, I knew I was going in a different direction. What I did not know; however, is this journey was a lonely one. For GOD to move me closer to HIM, HE had to remove a few people and things I was so fond of. It was painful at first, but this was part of HIS plan, and I know I had to trust HIM.

Another example is when I told GOD I was ready to start my business. When HE felt I was ready, HE started making changes in my life that threatened my stability. It was scary and uncomfortable at first; however, GOD began removing my crutches so I would stand on my own. HE began shifting things around to make room for all the new things HE would bring into my life.

I asked GOD for something and HE gave me exactly what I asked for, but the process was not an easy one. It was necessary, but not easy. I am very thankful for the process as I learned a great deal about who I was and who GOD is! It taught me to trust HIM even when I did not understand what HE was doing.

You know the old saying, “You better by careful what you ask for!

If you want it, ask for it; however, be prepared to trust the process. It may not look pretty, it may not feel pretty, you may lose to gain, you may step back in order move forward, but you should trust in HIM, because HE will not let you down.

Be careful what you ask for saints, because our GOD is listening!

May you have a blessed and spirit filled week!

God bless you,

His servant,

Minister Marshall
