“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone”. Colossians 4:2-6
I do not believe any child of GOD can have a serious conversation with anyone that does not involve prayer. Either we are talking about the blessings received from prayer, sharing the importance of prayer, or simply inviting someone to pray with or for you. Many blog posts on Facebook openly requests prayer, offer prayer, or simply thank GOD through prayer. It is everywhere as it should be.
Many of my blog posts speak about the importance of prayer, the miracles of GODS’ prayer, and simply the goodness of GODS prayer. To have a strong prayer life, is to be about GODS’ business! As Christians, prayer is what we do and who we are.
When we engage with others, our conversations should be pleasing and bring glory to GOD. This can be challenging, as I am guilty of allowing things to upset me and find myself talking about it out loud. I love talking to my brothers and sisters in Christ who never hesitate to invoke the blessings of JESUS over my situation. If I am caught in the moment, infused by the confusion of the devil, they bring me back with the clarity of GODS’ WORD.
The WORD says, “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone” Colossians 4:6.
I know it is not always easy to have conversations that are full of grace when you are pushed to the limit, but this is what being about GODS business is. Sometimes you simply must rise above the foolishness of others, as well as getting out of your own flesh, and behave as you should. We do not have to strive for perfection, just strive to be your best in each situation. If we are consistent in this effort, it becomes second nature. Just something to think about.
As you move forward today keep GOD in your heart, and do not be afraid when HE decides to step in and take over to ensure you remain full of grace. It is in HIS grace; you will be your best and be about HIS business.
God bless you,
