Come as you are…

“I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

How many of you know people who are “waiting” for something before they come to GOD? How many of you are waiting on a few things yourself? You may say, as soon as I stop drinking. As soon as I smoke my last cigarette. As soon as I drink this last beer. Right after I end this relationship. And one of my favorites, as soon as I quit my job because I cannot be saved and work with these fools! There are many others I am sure, as I have had a few of my own.

I have learned all those “waiting periods” were blocking me from accepting GODS’ welcoming hand. They were holding me back! GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD! HE did not care what condition I was in, or what I was waiting for. HE just wanted me. HE was waiting for me to come to HIM so HE could love and take care of me. HE was always there for me, and HE is right there for you. For God loves and welcomes the sinner.

Daniel 2:22 says, “It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; HE knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with HIM You cannot hide anything from GOD, HE knows you better than you know yourself, so you why try?

When you accept GOD’s welcome and open your heart to HIM, HE will give you over to HIS son JESUS to be saved. This does not make you perfect but know that the GREAT works has begun. You may still backslide a little, you may still be dealing with all those things that held you back. However, the difference is that you are not doing it alone anymore, because you took that first step. Once you take that first step, GOD promised that you will not be alone.

Even after all of this, you may still question if you are worthy, I wondered that myself. How can GOD love me when I have been out there for so long? How can I leave all the things I am accustomed to alone? And you may have many more questions. I just ask that you trust that HE will.

Does it hurt, maybe? Will it be easy, probably not! But I bear witness today that it can be done. And the reward is whatever you need it to be. Whether it is a life free from drugs or alcohol, a financial breakthrough, a better relationship, a better job, or whatever have held you in bondage.

When you give it to GOD, let HIM do his part. HIS work began a long time ago, and HE is still working!

Let us end the “waiting period” and come as you are. You are worth it, and HE is waiting!

God bless you,

His servant,

Minister Marshall
