Take Your Rightful Place At the Table!

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your GOD. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”. Isaiah 41:10 NIV

I spoke to a good friend of mines over the weekend, and our conversation inspired this blog. My friend walked away from a job where she worked many years, most of her career. One would think, her departure would have been met with warm farewells and well wishes from her colleagues. Sadly, it was not! But being the beautiful person she is, it did not faze her. Instead, this served as confirmation that it was indeed time for her to move on.

Sometimes, we unconsciously wait for others to respond to situations the way we would respond, and this never happens. We wait for people to give us the respect we not only earned, but the respect we give to others. We expect people to make it “easier” for us to accept the decisions we make. Let us face it, change is not always easy, and confirmation in any form can be encouraging. We want it, and often, we need it!

I have learned; however, that we may never receive these things. And to be perfectly honest, no one owes us anything, because at the end of the day, we make the decisions that are best for us, and must live with the consequences.

So, I say to my beautiful friend, and anyone in a similar situation to keep it moving! You gave your best, you did your best, and you left a good part of you behind. Whether those involved want to recognize it or not, they know who you were, and the contribution your made. You, your presence, and your spirit made those you encountered better because of who you are. And although they try to minimize what role you played to get them where they are now, again I say to you…keep it moving! Their issues are not your problem. When you move with a spirit of love, you will always move in the right direction.

And I say this to you my friend, and many of you who find themselves having to make a difficult change:

You have so much more to give. You have so much more to accomplish. You have so many people to touch. Now, it is time to leave the past where it is and walk boldly and unapologetically into the future GOD created just for you. I am so very happy for you! I am so very proud of you! You are an inspiration to everyone who dare to want more! You are amazing!!

You are beautifully and deliberately made, and your purpose has not been realized yet. Keep walking in the light of GOD. Keep allowing him to orchestrate your steps. He will; as the WORD says, uphold you with His righteous hand! Keep pushing and believing that you are and deserve better.

Even in the moments you felt LESS than, to GOD, you were always MORE than! And now it is your time for you to take your rightful place at the table. GOD has pulled the chair out for you, prepared your plate before you, and all you have to do now, my friend, is have a seat. Take your rightful place at the table, and enjoy what GOD placed before you! HE is your GOD, and HE will not only prepare you for your new journey, but He will strengthen and help you. And most importantly, HE will be right there with you!

May God Bless you!

In his service,
