“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3:5-6.
I try to use this blog to uplift my brothers and sisters in Christ; however, today, I want to extend my love and support to all sexual assault survivors that may be struggling emotionally right now. The news received last week was a tremendous blow!
It is difficult to finally feel as if we are finally taking positive steps forward when we see predators brought to justice, and then to feel victimized again when predators go free due to a technicality.
As an advocate for sexual assault survivors, I am upset, and tired of the system getting it wrong!
As a survivor of sexual assault, I am saddened, and feel betrayed!
As a child of GOD, I will place my trust in the LORD as HE has not failed me!
To my survivors, I know it is hard, but please do not let this discourage you from coming forward. Do not let this stop you from standing in your truth.
I see you! I believe you! I stand with you! You are a survivor!
To my fellow advocates and activists, do not give up the fight! We must continue to be the voice for those who are not ready to speak up. We must continue to stand for those who are not ready to stand up. We must continue to fight for those who are struggling to fight for themselves. Let us keep going. Speak Up! Speak Out! Speak Boldly!
God bless you,
